Executive Vice President & Head – Branch Banking, Kotak Mahindra Bank.

Virat Diwanji is a Kotak veteran. He took on the mantle of managing the Branch Banking business in November 2007 with a primary responsibility of establishing bank branches as a single point of distribution for Banking (saving/Business),  Investment and Asset products.

An experienced business leader in Retail finance space Virat is currently spearheading the next phase of network expansion at Kotak Bank. Virat will have a pivotal role in implementing customer centric products and processes and using Customer Service as a real “differentiator” in this already crowded space of Retail Branch Banking, HNI (Privy League) and NRI segments.

Virat has been an “all rounder” in true sense in the Retail Asset financing space having headed multiple functions – Sales, Product & Marketing Operations etc. He has been instrumental in metamorphosing many business divisions into a success story at the Kotak Group. He had also played a key role in Kotak’s Joint Ventures with Ford Credit in its Car finance business. Virat eventually rose to the position of Managing Director in one of it’s JV.

Virat firmly believes in 4Ps – People, Product, Process and Productivity, as cornerstone for building a successful  Retail business. He has to his credit, grooming several business leaders at all levels during his association with Kotak Group.

Virat began his career with Management Consultancy division of A. F. Ferguson & Company in 1988. He joined Kotak Group in 1994.

Virat with his focused approach to building fundamentally strong business units, coupled with his down to earth people approach and his ability to drive his team to deliver desired results will be the fulcrum of growth for Kotak Bank as it embarks on expanding its Branch network to establish itself as one of the key player in Indian Banking Industry
